“Through the excellent technical capability of the Inter-Rock company we managed to have the Reservoir Characterization of the El Portón Exploitation Unit in the Neuquén Basin. Its integral work methodology allowed us to correlate Core data with Log data, to verify relative permeabilities and capillary pressures, as well as correlating facies by rock type vs. sedimentary facies; in addition to that, we were able to verify the dominant pore throat size of the Rock Types present. Flow Units correlated very well with Flow Records data and Well tests. The Petrophysical Characterization Study made it possible to construct the Static Model of the different Reservoirs as Chihuido de La Salina Norte and Centro Norte, with the subsequent elaboration of the Dynamic Models and thus to finish defining the Optimal Development and Exploitation Scheme.”
